Assign a Resource to a Production Location

Assign a Resource to a Location Graphically

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Production tab:
    • if you are working on a Surface scenario, select Mining.
    • if you are working on an Underground scenario, select Underground or Stockpiles.
    • if you are working on a Surface and Underground scenario, select Underground or Mining.
  2. From the Resources pane, drag the resource onto the location to which you want it to apply.
  3. The resource icon appears to the left of the location in the 3D Canvas, for the Underground tab, and the 2D Canvas, for the Mining or Stockpiles tabs. The Max Rate box appears, and a new row is added to the Production rates data grid.

    Tip: You can assign a resource to multiple headings by first selecting multiple headings in the 3D Canvas, and then dragging the resource onto any of the selected headings. To select multiple headings:

    • click the Select all icon in the visibility constraints bar
    • use box selection to capture the headings of interest
    • hold CTRL and click the headings in the 3D Canvas
  4. In the Max Rate box, type the maximum rate for the resource for the mining activity.
  5. Press ENTER.
  6. The maximum rate for the resource is set, and appears in the Value column of the Production rates data grid.

Assign a Resource to a Location using the Production Rates Data Grid

  1. In the Setup Schedule > Production tab, in the Production rates data grid, click Insert.
  2. A new row is added to the data grid.

  3. In the Locations column, select the locations to which you want to apply the resource.
  4. Note: You can select more than one location using the Wildcard Expression Builder.

  5. In the Resources column, select the resource or resources you want to apply to the locations.
  6. In the Parameter column, select the MAX_RATE parameter.
  7. In the Value column, type the maximum rate for the resource.
  8. In the Date/event column, select the date or event at which you want the resource to be applied to the locations.
  9. In the Delay column, type the number of days you want to pass after the event selected in the Date/event has occurred, before the resource is applied to the locations.
  10. If you want to define any other parameters for the resource in the specified locations, copy the row and change the Parameter and its Value.
